I loved my time in Cuba and I had a great time : I went in May and it was a good time and good weather and the average maximum temperatures were quite bearable, even if warm temperatures . No rainy days and tropical storms and no peak tourist season . The best months for me are from March to may , because hotel rates lower , fewer visitors or fewer crowds, and the average daily temperature is ok ( great weather even if still hot ) .

The Caribbean island is incredible . A travel in time

Important thing : make sure to prepare your trip well : get travel Insurance, prepare some USD ( you can’t use ATM over there ) and do some research before you go

Don’t miss the cultural festivals as advised in our blog below

Look no further if you’re wondering when to visit Cuba! The dry season, which lasts from late November to mid-April, is the greatest time to visit Cuba. This time of year has nice weather, with temperatures averaging 26-30°C and rainfall averaging 45-80 millimeters.

However, the busiest tourist season is between December and March, so book your accommodations and activities ahead of time, as Cuba can get busy during this period.

1. If you want to get cheap travels

If you’re wondering whether to go to Cuba for the best value, the months to visit are May to early June and the middle of September to October. Prices for hotels, flights, and activities are frequently lower during these transitional seasons because you will be avoiding the summer and winter holidays.

2. If you want to avoid tourist crowd

Consider visiting Cuba in the spring, from March to May, to avoid crowds. You can enjoy milder weather and less tourists during these months, making it simpler to explore the island’s attractions and have a quieter travel experience.

3. If you want to visit in the best season

The months of June, July, and August are ideal for hot weather in Cuba. Temperatures average roughly 27°C throughout the summer months, with highs reaching 32°C. However, while these are the hottest months, they also bring more rain.

From November to April is the best season to visit Cuba for nice weather. This time of year is dependably nice, with average sunshine ranging from 7 to 10 hours each day, giving it an excellent escape from the cold.

From November to April, the best time to visit Cuba is during the dry and temperate winter months. With beautiful weather, these months are ideal for exploring Cuba’s rich culture, lovely beaches, and ancient towns while avoiding hurricanes and excessive heat.

There are two seasons in Cuba. Between May and October, the wet season sees 70% of the island’s rainfall, resulting in high temperatures, humidity and the wettest month is often either August or September . The dry season, on the other hand, delivers cooler, dryer weather to the island around November and April ( little rain during Cuba’s driest months )

Best weather is in my opinion between March and May. With an average low temperature more bearable and more dry weather . But it can be a busy tine of the year .

Despite minor seasonal fluctuations in the weather, Cuba is generally hot, sunny, and humid all year. Keep updated on the Santiago de Cuba Weather Calendar and contrast the weather forecast for your visit to Cuba with the NWS Heat Index. In this manner, you can gauge how hot it will be in Cuba.

Sunscreen and a water bottle with a filter are essential. If you’re not prepared, you could get sunburned, dehydrated, or suffer from heat stroke.

Mosquito-borne infections are also a problem, so bring bug repellent with you. It’s also a good idea to pack a first-aid kit in case of an emergency.

These goods are sufficient to get you started, but we additionally suggest something a little more substantial, such as travel medical insurance. You can buy insurance, so in case you develop heatstroke, dengue fever, or any other sickness, you’ll be covered!

No mater when you go, you will love Cuba’s tropical climate !

Foods in Cuba during the wet season

Picture10 Best Time to Visit Cuba

During the wet season, most fresh vegetables become limited or frozen at buffets, while fruits are popular. Mango, papaya pineapple, watermelon, mamey, banana, avocado, and even greens such as kimbombó, fava beans, pumpkin, and sweet potato are all readily available.

A consistent supply of drinking water is essential for surviving Cuba’s sweltering wet season. In Cuba, drinkable water is scarce, and we do not suggest drinking tap water. Bottled water is difficult to find, even in major cities, and nearly impossible to find if you travel deep into the countryside.

This will necessitate advance planning. Your best traveling companion will be a refillable water container with a built-in filter.

Specialities of dry season

If you enjoy fresh vegetables, the dry season is the perfect time to visit Cuba. This is the peak harvesting season. Many local greens are transformed into low-cost treats… at least for visitors’ wallets.

You can certainly request sweet peppers, onions, cabbage, red tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots as a visitor at a casa especial or Airbnb in Cuba. Salads, drinks, and natural face and red skin covers will thrill you. If you enjoy seafood, you’ll be glad to know that Cuba’s lobster season extends from June to February, allowing you to get your fill.

Final Remarks

Picking the best time to visit Cuba in 2024 is determined by your interests and priorities. The dry and cold months of November to April provide comfortable weather and exciting experiences, while the cooler months of April-May and September-October bring a balance of crowds and affordability.

WHO AM I ?

Hello !

I am Eric, a French Australian citizen based between Australia, Asia and Bali an I love to travel and experience the world. I generally like outdoor activities, wellness, great food and venues , party and real local adventures ! I am a Yoga practitioner and fitness lover

I created this  blog because I love to travel and I want to share my experiences with others. I’ve been traveling since I was a child, and I’ve been to over 50 countries. I’ve seen some amazing things and met some amazing people, and I want to help others experience the same things.

I believe that travel is one of the best ways to learn about the world and about yourself. When you travel, you’re forced to step outside of your comfort zone and experience new things. You learn about different cultures, different religions, and different ways of life. You also learn about yourself, your strengths, and your weaknesses.

Travel can also be a great way to make new friends. When you’re traveling, you’re surrounded by people from all over the world, and you’re all in the same boat. You’re all there to explore and experience new things, and that can create a bond between people.
