As some of you may have red on the blog, I am a Yoga practitioner and teacher and I have 1000 hours of yoga courses . And still counting !

I generally practice ashtanga yoga , vinyasa yoga and I have now years of experience in studying and personal practice.

My advice is not to take your first training as a final target, as your spiritual journey and spiritual growth is never finished. Yoga is wide and you might want to explore other options when you will be a certified yoga teacher .

So now, I did some trainings in India, Australia and Bali.

The first question I always get , even before talking about the training itself is : where shall I go ?
There is only one answer about that , and it is within yourself, in your heart .
If you don’t limit your learning and studying process at one training in your life , it will be more easy to choose .
In a nutshell, Australia ( or Western training) are more suitable for peoples that want strong ressources, serious syllabus , and teaching like if you were at school . Maybe the best if you want to teach straight after like a professional . The price is high and the set up is not the most exciting .

India would suit for peoples looking for traditional training, link to philosophy , spirituality and then Hinduism . You can meet amazing characters over there ( I had a monk teaching pranayama recently ) . But the structure will be not as top thorough as in western trainings . Asana style will be mainly Hatha, even if they write Vinyasa . Prices are low . The setting won’t be as classical than in Western trainings , it will depends on where you go, but mostly a big change from your daily life

Bali is the perfect mix in between . Strong modern asana practice, high skilled teachers and incredible level of services. The competition in Bali is high . So Yoga school can’t mess it up . You have teachers from all over the world coming , some with a lot of experience and hours of teaching . Prices are medium. Some settings are breath taking ( jungle, beach etc … )

If the price is your main question, you are going the wrong way . You better postponed of a few months, saved some money to really find something that suits you .

Why is Bali one of the best places in the world for Yoga teacher training ?

Bali is a hub for health and wellness, attracting both yoga practitioners and non-yogis. Want to attend a yoga session taught by a renowned teacher ? You can take classes or participate in retreats here that are guided by some of the top instructors. You desire a full-body massage. There are several holistic spas that you can choose from. Some good news is here! There are vegan restaurants in almost every neighborhood on the island.

Not that one faith is better than another, mind you. The spiritual tradition on the island is strong. Bali is mostly Hindu, although the rest of Indonesia is largely Muslim. This emanates a distinct aura that sets it apart from the rest of Indonesia. Certain ties between Hinduism and yoga have shaped Bali’s unique yoga culture and allowed for the expansion of yoga facilities and teacher training courses in this area.

Balinese Hinduism is a peculiar combination of Shaivism and Buddhism with distinctive gods. Furthermore, the island’s religious festivals are distinctive, and its buildings are stunning due to the fact that many of them are related to the mountains and lakes.

The island is said to be home to some 10,000 temples, shrines, and pilgrimage sites. In contrast to being stunning on the exterior, they are calm and unaltered inside. Without a festival, it turns into a stage for traditional dance performances.

WHO AM I ?

Hello !

I am Eric, a French Australian citizen based between Australia, Asia and Bali an I love to travel and experience the world. I generally like outdoor activities, wellness, great food and venues , party and real local adventures ! I am a Yoga practitioner and fitness lover

I created this blog because I love to travel and I want to share my experiences with others. I’ve been traveling since I was a child, and I’ve been to over 50 countries. I’ve seen some amazing things and met some amazing people, and I want to help others experience the same things.

I believe that travel is one of the best ways to learn about the world and about yourself. When you travel, you’re forced to step outside of your comfort zone and experience new things. You learn about different cultures, different religions, and different ways of life. You also learn about yourself, your strengths, and your weaknesses.

Travel can also be a great way to make new friends. When you’re traveling, you’re surrounded by people from all over the world, and you’re all in the same boat. You’re all there to explore and experience new things, and that can create a bond between people.
