Yoga Bliss in Bali: Best Yoga Retreats and Studios in Bali

Best Yoga studios Bali

I currently lived in Bali and I love it ! I wrote more than 50 articles on Bali,  about many subjects in order to help you prepare your trip to the island of gods . Check it out !

silhouette photo of woman at beach

I am myself a Yoga teacher and daily practitioner and I totally felt in love with Bali ! So many opportunities in terms of Yoga classes style, workshops, retreats, events … It is insane !
I truly think it is (one ) of the best places in the world for Yoga as firstly you won’t find as many studios anywhere in the world in such a small area ( there is like 30 or so only in Canggu ) and there is such a wide offer of classes. From Kundalini to Iyengar, to Hatha and traditional to other more modern styles as Bikram or Aerial .
Then the events are never ending. Indeed, many peoples into Yoga, consciousness, spirituality travel and move to Bali. So there is a huge community of like minded creative peoples and in Ubud for example, there is a lot of events every week ! From ecstatic dance to full moon circle to workshops with world class teachers.
Then the retreats. The set up and surrounding is unbeatable. Either beach style retreats or jungle, with this amazing traditional Balinese music and vibe . Ouaaaaaaaahhhhhh ! Amazing.

You will find below a list of studios providing classes, retreats , and events or a regular basis . Make sure to make an enquiry and ask them if they have anything going on. Especially about the retreats. As this is changing.

Why Bali is so special for Yoga practice ?

Yoga enthusiasts and non-yogis go to Bali because it is a hotspot for health and wellness. Want to take a yoga class from a well-known world class teacher ? Here, you can take classes or attend retreats led by some of the best professors.

Want a full-body massage? There are many holistic spas available to you. Here is some good news! Nearly every area on the island has a vegan dining establishment.

The island has a solid spiritual culture. While the majority of the remainder of Indonesia is Muslim, Bali is predominately Hindu. This gives off a distinctive vibe unique from the rest of Indonesia. Yoga has certain connections to Hinduism that helped shape Bali’s distinctive yoga culture and enabled the growth of yoga studios and teacher training programs in this region.

With its distinctive gods, Balinese Hinduism is also a distinctive fusion of Shaivism and Buddhism.

Moreover, since many of them are connected to the island’s mountains and lakes, its religious celebrations are unique, and its temples are magnificent.

According to legend, the island is home to approximately 10,000 temples, shrines, and pilgrimage sites. They are serene and unchanged on the inside, in addition to being beautiful on the outside. It becomes a platform for folk dance performances without a festival.

Here are some of the reasons why yoga studios in Bali are the best in the world:

The island’s natural beauty is a powerful source of inspiration for yoga practitioners. The lush rainforests, white-sand beaches, and towering volcanoes provide a stunning backdrop for yoga practice.

Bali’s culture is deeply rooted in spirituality, which is reflected in the island’s many yoga studios. Many studios offer classes that incorporate meditation, chanting, and other spiritual practices.
– The island’s warm climate is ideal for yoga practice. You can enjoy your yoga practice outdoors, even in the middle of the day.

Bali is home to a large number of experienced yoga teachers. You can find teachers who specialize in a variety of styles, from traditional Hatha yoga to more modern styles such as Vinyasa and Ashtanga.

– Bali is a popular destination for yoga enthusiasts from all over the world. This means that you’ll have the opportunity to meet and learn from people from all walks of life.

1. ADDA YOGA Bali

bali post12 1 Best yoga studios Bali
ADDA is Bali’s yoga studio to focus on your inner serenity, physical development, and mental well-being. It is based in Canggu, in a lovely and serene Shala.

The majority of their team underwent western training to meet the demands of contemporary yoga and travelled to India to learn from gurus who respected the authentic yogic tradition. They assert that their goal is to humbly impart ancient wisdom in a secure, conventional manner while adopting a modernistic outlook. Nevertheless, they are genuine, committed, and laser-focused on their goal: to provide the best yoga experience and lead you on this enchanted journey. With ADDA YOGA, you can gain insight, build stamina and technique, unwind, and discover inner serenity.

2. THE PRACTICE BALI

Bring your practice mat to The Practice Bali if you get enthusiastic when you learn about basic yoga teachings and honing the skills to become the most exquisite version of yourself. The Practice is a global training facility and institution that welcomes experienced and devoted yogis and newcomers. It serves as a space to restore yoga to its fundamental principles and historical hatha yoga teachings. In addition, it serves as a place to engage in the art, science, and philosophy of authentic yoga and breathing exercises.

By Canggu’s Batu Bolong beach, The Practice Bali yoga school is tucked away peacefully amid paddy fields and tinkling temple sounds, where the waves crashing of Bali meet serene tranquillity and beautiful green landscape. The yoga centre is a beautiful design made of sustainable bamboo construction, a simple design emphasizing the bright, vivid juxtaposition between the garden, the inside, and the natural materials. As you enter the yoga studio, you can see a tall rooftop above you that looks out over the rice paddies.

The Practice Bali was established out of a desire to spread the authentic meanings and experiences of yoga, as taught by carefully chosen instructors who frequently impart their wisdom to both experienced yogis and newcomers. To restore the original yoga teachings, Octavio Salvado, Wanda, Michael, Jyoti, Rob, and Carl have committed themselves to express their beliefs, engaging in both on- and off-the-mat Practice and giving back to the community.

6. Yoga Barn Ubud

One of the busiest yoga studios in Ubud and throughout Bali must be The Yoga Barn. WHO AM I ?

Hello !

I am Eric, a French Australian citizen based between Australia, Asia and Bali an I love to travel and experience the world. I generally like outdoor activities, wellness, great food and venues , party and real local adventures ! I am a Yoga practitioner and fitness lover

I created this blog because I love to travel and I want to share my experiences with others. I’ve been traveling since I was a child, and I’ve been to over 50 countries. I’ve seen some amazing things and met some amazing people, and I want to help others experience the same things.

I believe that travel is one of the best ways to learn about the world and about yourself. When you travel, you’re forced to step outside of your comfort zone and experience new things. You learn about different cultures, different religions, and different ways of life. You also learn about yourself, your strengths, and your weaknesses.

Travel can also be a great way to make new friends. When you’re traveling, you’re surrounded by people from all over the world, and you’re all in the same boat. You’re all there to explore and experience new things, and that can create a bond between people.
