- TRANSPORTATION IN BALI. HOW TO GO FROM CITY TO CITY
Hi Guys !
I live I’m Bali since a while now, and I am often amazed by the quality of accomodations . Balinese peoples have some taste and are very good for craft, decoration, design and overall style and ambiance . I even used to sleep in guest house with temples incorporated inside the compound ( as this is common here in Bali ) . There is a unique vibe and atmosphere and this makes a big difference with other destination in the world . You will find more and more resort now I’m Bali, and most of the time not run by locals . The effort put in the design and style is always great , and prices are generally affordable ( depending on the standing you choose, as there is obviously upmarket and pricey hotels in Bali ).
Bali’s market is mainly villas stay, which is different of the other famous touristic destinations in the world . You can have amazing villa with beautiful Balinese design and architecture for cheap price, and it is perfect, especially if you stay with a large family or group of friends . I did rent those kind of villas many times with my friends and we had glorious week ends ! Huge pool, large bedrooms, large outside area, beautiful Balinese furnitures … Perfect for epic memories !
The other options is guest house, and this is my favourite . Indeed, it is cheaper and you live with locals from Bali ad I like the principle to help the community and locals rather than giving you money away to foreigners. and the good thing with guest house and that you will find some hidden gems !
Third option would be classical hotel. They have very good amenities, clean and with great services
Fourth options is my least favorite, and it is resort . It is more upmarket fancy resort hotel , with great services and building, and marvellous accommodations . Don’t get me wrong, you get great great offer and good quality food and accommodations . The only thing is that all those resort did rise the cost of life and Bali and did attract another kind of tourism . More wealthy. and this was not the original essence of the Balinese experience .
As I am living in Bali, all this recommendations below are genuine and tested . There is of course others areas and accomodations, but those ones are good quality with great service .

– Book your accommodations in advance, especially if you’re traveling during peak season.
– Consider the location of your accommodations. If you want to be close to the beach, you’ll need to pay more.
– Read reviews of accommodations before you book them. This will give you a good idea of what to expect.

TRANSPORTATION IN BALI. HOW TO GO FROM CITY TO CITY
Bali is very well organised and a perfection for the logistic . There is always an option for transportation, for every budget. Very easy to book. You can even ask your hotel and anyone you meet in the street, almost everybody rent motorbike, has a friend doing taxi or knows someone doing tours or excursions . And they are not pushy trying to sell their services, which his very nice and appreciable .
📌 Taxi :
classical taxi like blue bird taxi ( you can check online ) or private taxis are absolutely everywhere . The issue is that they often try to overcharge you and yo never know the real price . So I would recommend to download Gojek and Grab, as result you can have an estimate on how much the ride cost . You can even show them the screen from Gojek when you are bargaining the price . They generally will smile and accept your price .
📌 Gojek or Grab
If you don’t want to order, find or deal directly with a taxi, you can use Gojek for example. Download the application and you can either set up your credit card or pay the driver directly in cash . It is very efficient and you will get your motorbike or car within a few minutes . Yes, you can even order a motorbike ! Very cheap. Different types of car from small to large and you can even get food deliver
📌 Motorbike or moto
You can either order a motorbike or Gojek or grab or even rent one . The most adventurous peoples will keep the scooter the whole length of their trips and ride from city to city ( which is amazing because you would ride in the middle of the island ) , but the issue is your luggage because it is hard to ride with a large backpack or even very hard with a suitcase . The best advice I could give is to go from city to city by taxi ( or bus ) and then if you stay ( for example in Ubud 2 days ) you can rent a scooter to visit the town and go outside . Riding a motorbike or scooter in bali is a total new experience . You will feel free and will discover the real Bali .
📌 Bus or shuttle
There is bus or shuttle going through the island, from city to city , They are generally only one or twice per day, so it is important that you anticipate . ask your hotel and they can surely advice you about the best option

AND WAY MORE !
WHO AM I ?
Hello !
I am Eric, a French Australian citizen based between Australia, Asia and Bali an I love to travel and experience the world. I generally like outdoor activities, wellness, great food and venues , party and real local adventures ! I am a Yoga practitioner and fitness lover
I created this blog because I love to travel and I want to share my experiences with others. I’ve been traveling since I was a child, and I’ve been to over 50 countries. I’ve seen some amazing things and met some amazing people, and I want to help others experience the same things.
I believe that travel is one of the best ways to learn about the world and about yourself. When you travel, you’re forced to step outside of your comfort zone and experience new things. You learn about different cultures, different religions, and different ways of life. You also learn about yourself, your strengths, and your weaknesses.
Travel can also be a great way to make new friends. When you’re traveling, you’re surrounded by people from all over the world, and you’re all in the same boat. You’re all there to explore and experience new things, and that can create a bond between people.
Uyuni Salar, Boliva
Let’s connect together !
I hope that my travel blog will inspire others to travel and to see the world. I also hope that it will help people to learn about different cultures and to become more open-minded.
